The Queen's Ball is one of the longest standing and most-anticipated events on the Tasmanian gay and lesbian calendar and has attracted crowds of over 800 people.
It is held on Sunday of the June long weekend each year and has a reputation for unveiling some of the most creative and outrageous costumes hiding away in the wardrobes of the GLBTIQ community. Previous themes have included Space, superqueero, Homo on the Range and Sunday Night Fever.
The Queens Ball is renowned for having some great shows, such as Millie Minogue and Savage.
An absolute must on the Tasmanian GLBTIQ calendar and the Australian party circuit.

Hobart’s georgian-era buildings, the city’s water-side bars, galleries and cafes, and its marinas all sit at the foothills of majestic Mount Wellington. The mountain is a reminder that not all the region’s attractions are found in the city.
